Welcome!

[edit]

Welcome to Wikispecies!

Hello, and welcome to Wikispecies! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages you might like to see:

If you have named a taxon, then it is likely that there is (or will be) a Wikispecies page about you, and other pages about your published papers. Please see our advice and guidance for taxon authors.

If you have useful images to contribute to Wikispecies, please upload them at Wikimedia Commons. This is also true for video or audio files containing bird songs, whale vocalization, etc.

Please sign your comments on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username (if you're logged in) and the date. Please also read the Wikispecies policy What Wikispecies is not. If you need help, ask me on my talk page, or in the Village Pump. Again, welcome! Paracona

[edit]

I removed the page as it is a subgenus of Ugyops, and I now have it as such, which makes the page I deleted redundant... See under Ugyops...

Sorry, I don't really edit here. Mike.lifeguard | @meta 02:50, 29 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re: removing content

[edit]

No, not a mistake! If you read it, you will see that it was just a load of now redundant talk, which is best relegated to the history archives (if anybody should want to read it again, which I doubt) Stho002 00:12, 11 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Must we clog up talk pages forever with pointless discussion that is no longer relevant????

Are you a zoologist, and therefore qualified to judge the worth of what was removed? At any rate, as I said, it is still in the history archives...

I don't know why being a zoologist would matter... Just use an edit summary. — Mike.lifeguard | @meta 21:28, 15 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Warnings

[edit]

We have some templates for this: I use {{Test}}, {{Test1}}, and {{Test2}}. Maxim(talk) 23:53, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Vandal

Does the abuse filter work on usernames? Also, we might need a CU to check out stuff. The vandal made it quite clear that he employs sleeper accounts.[1] OhanaUnitedTalk page 18:37, 1 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
